General info- 12 Days tour through the Balkan area includes 5 countries and is designed for those who enjoy visiting both the historical and natural sites as well as some roads less travelled. This Tour will give you the the insight to where the true Balkan spirit still exists. On this tour you shall get to see all the major towns and get to know the history and stories from the behind the scenes.

Itinerary Day by Day…

Day 1 :  Ljubljana (Slovenia)

Arival to Ljubljana airport. Meet & Greet with your tour leader.

Transfer to your hotel.

This charming town is Slovenia’s capital. Its most picturesque canals, bridges and narrow cobbled streets with enchant you for sure. When you take the funicular to the Upper town you shall realize that this gem is surrounded by magnificent Julian Alps. What a sight!

Day 2 : Lake Bled (Slovenia)

Transfer from Ljubljana to Lake Bled.

The most beautiful glacial lake in Slovenia is also a National Park. Right there in the middle of the lake there is a tiny little island and you can only get there by traditional rowing boat. The whole scenery in enriched by a medieval castle perched high on a hillside.

Day 3 : Rovinj- Buzet- Opatija (Croatia)

Transfer from Ljubljana to Rovinj (Croatia).

Rovinj is Istria’s absolute gem. Its Old Town is placed on a headland with colourful houses tightly crowded down to the seafront. Climbing up the St Euphemia’s tower is a must.

Afternoon is going to be spent in a rural part of magical Istria. We are heading to Buzet.  Truffle hunting is an experience not to be missed by the truffle lovers.

Overnight in Opatija.

Day 4 : Opatija- Zagreb (Croatia)

Transfer from Opatija to Zagreb.

The day will start with the sightseeing tour of Opatija. This charming medieval town was built by the Austria aristocracy and quickly became its most famous Riviera in the 19th century. The old villas are still there to reminisce those days.

Day 5 : Zagreb- Plitvice Lakes (Croatia)

Transfer Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Day 6 : Plitvice Lakes- Split (Croatia)

Day 7 : Split (Croatia)

The hart of the city is placed in an antient Roman palace and that makes it the oldest Roman monument that is still alive. And once you feel the city you will get a desire to be the part of its vibrant temperament.

Day 8 : Split (Croatia)- Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina)

Today we are leaving Croatia and heading to a neighbouring Bosnia and Herzegovina. This historic town was built in the 15th century as the Ottoman frontier town. It is a charming mixture of both Muslim and Christian influence and architecture and quite a unique feel and unforgettable gastronomy.

Day 9 : Mostar (Bosnia & Herzegovina)- Dubrovnik (Croatia)

Transfer from Mostar to Dubrovnik.

Day 10 : Dubrovnik (Croatia)

Day in Dubrovnik.

While in Dubrovnik make sure to explore not only the city walls and wealth they hold within but also check its surroundings. So after experiencing Stradun, Franciscan Monastery with the ancient pharmacy, Dominican Monastery with its fine collection of medieval paintings, check out nearby islands and local hilltop Srđ and its famous cable car.

Day 11 : Dubrovnik (Croatia)- Kotor (Montenegro)

Transfer from Dubrovnik (Croatia) to Kotor (Montenegro).

Kotor is a historical coastal town located in breathtaking bay of Boka, some call the southernmost fjord of Europe. The town walls and the old stone houses will take to a journey down the centuries.
